1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup strawberry jam

Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

Activate Yeast: Combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar in a small bowl. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.

Make Dough: In a large bowl, stir together flour and salt. Add yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg. Knead until smooth and elastic.

First Rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.

Shape Donuts: Punch down dough, roll to 1/2-inch thickness, and cut into donut shapes.

Second Rise: Place donuts on parchment-lined sheet, cover, and let rise 30 minutes.

Fry Donuts: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry donuts 2–3 minutes per side until golden. Drain on paper towels.

Prepare Filling: Whisk cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and strawberry jam until smooth.
