Ingredients
1.5 lbs boneless chicken thighs or breasts
3/4 cup barbecue sauce
1 cup canned pineapple chunks (reserve juice)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Optional: red pepper flakes, green onion, sriracha
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 375°F.
Pat chicken dry and season with garlic and onion powder.
Toss chicken with barbecue sauce and soy sauce.
Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cook for 14–16 minutes, flipping halfway.
During final 4–5 minutes, add pineapple chunks and brush with more sauce mixed with juice.
Cook until chicken is caramelized and reaches 165°F.
Serve over rice, in wraps, or sliders.
Notes
Marinate the chicken for extra flavor if time allows.
