Tender garlic butter steak bites slow-cooked in a crockpot with potatoes for a rich, hearty, and effortless comfort meal perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
1.5 pounds baby potatoes, halved
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear steak bites until browned on all sides; transfer to a plate.
In the same pan, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
Add beef broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up browned bits.
Place potatoes at the bottom of the crockpot.
Layer steak bites over potatoes and pour garlic butter mixture on top.
Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours until steak is tender and potatoes are soft.
Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the garlic butter mixture.
Use ribeye for a richer, more buttery texture if preferred.
Stir gently before serving to coat everything in the garlic butter sauce.
