1/8 tsp ground nutmeg

1/4 tsp ground ginger

1/8 tsp allspice

3/4 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

5 oz softened cream cheese (frosting)

4 tbsp butter, softened (frosting)

3 tbsp caramel sauce (homemade or purchased, frosting)

1 tsp vanilla extract (frosting)

3/4 cup Imperial Sugar powdered sugar (frosting)

1/4 cup flour (streusel)

1 tbsp Imperial Sugar white sugar (streusel)

1/4 tsp cinnamon (streusel)

1/4 tsp salt (streusel)

1 1/2 tbsp cold butter, cubed (streusel)

1 green apple, chopped into cubes (streusel)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cream together softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Mix in egg, apple juice, and vanilla extract until fully combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

Fold in chopped green apple cubes evenly.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.

Cool cookies on a wire rack for 5 minutes before frosting.

For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.

Mix in caramel sauce and vanilla extract.

Gradually add powdered sugar until light and fluffy.

For streusel, combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a small bowl.

Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Sprinkle streusel over cooled cookies and top with apple cubes.

Notes

Use room-temperature butter for proper creaming with sugars.

Chop apples uniformly for even texture.

Avoid overmixing the dough to keep cookies tender.

Cool cookies completely before frosting to prevent melting.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.

Optional: sprinkle extra caramel drizzle or nuts for added flavor.
